Jill Alex Connolly, Manager, Corporate Communications, Analog Devices, Inc.

Jill has worked in the graphics industry for more than 20 years, mostly in a print-buying capacity. For the past nine years, she has been a manager at Analog Devices, Inc., where her team produces technical documentation for three worldwide locations, and designs collateral materials for the company. Although much of what they produce now gets posted to the Web, Jill's group purchases approximately $1 million in print annually.

Arlene Ouellette, Director of Marketing Operations, Brookstone

Arlene has been involved in printing and print production since 1986. The lifelong Granite State resident has produced product packaging, catalogs, direct mail, retail signage and all sorts of collateral. In her current role as Director of Marketing Operations for the specialty retailer and product developer, Brookstone, she has built relationships with vendors throughout North America, and enjoys diverse responsibilities in financial and project management as well as print production.

Tom Pixton, Publishing Advisor, MIT Publishing Services Bureau

Tom has worn many different hats during his colorful career. The former customer service rep, planner, estimator, typesetter, copy editor, designer, buyer, and Mac addict was employed by various Boston-area offset print shops before moving into higher ed, first at Harvard's in-house printing office, and then, at MIT's Publishing Services Bureau. An accomplished musician and performer as well as MIT staffer, Tom now has added system administrator to his CV.

Amy Feiner, Print Production, Millipore

Amy has worked in print production for more than 20 years. For the last seven years, she has worked at Millipore producing a range of collateral materials. Because the number of catalogues and size of catalogues has increased in the last two years, Amy is now printing many of them in China. She has made two trips to China, and another one is scheduled for later this month. Amy has experience that few New England buyers have.

Paul Carroll, President, American Printing

Paul is founder and president of the Rumford, RI-based American Printing. He started his career as a print broker like his father, but he soon realized he could better meet his customers' needs by establishing his own company. His 36-year-old firm now produces all kinds of commercial printing, including large-format and digital, and is a leader in specialty packaging products. The company prides itself on delivering superior customer service, and provides customer seminars throughout the year, including cost-cutting tips.

To join Boston Print Buyers, you must be a professional who purchases commercial printing. Although we love printers, brokers, paper pros and mailing professionals, you are not eligible to join, but we welcome inquiries about sponsorship.
