A
Night at the Museum (of Printing)
with Boston Print Buyers
![]() |
Wednesday, April 14th Come relax and
socialize |
Tickets are just $10. We'll provide drinks and light refreshments as you tour the Museum to see one of the world's largest collections of printing hardware (talk about heavy metal!).
Among the equipment in the Museum's Press Gallery are four Washington handpresses, a long row of hand-feed platen presses, stone lithography, perhaps the world's smallest roto-gravure press, the intaglio, as well as table-top platens, mimeograph duplicators (remember your blue hands?), proof presses, and much more.
Where else can you see an amazing collection of 49 different letterpresses?
Come take a stroll down memory lane - and see how many of the old presses and original typography equipment you can identify.Plus - see a new exhibit replicating Ben Franklin's print shop, complete with a wooden press. Toast old Ben with his Fish House Punch concoction.
The Museum of Printing is easy to get to by car, at 800 Massachusetts Avenue in North Andover. Directions are posted on their web site at www.museumofprinting.org. This party is open to everyone.
